One koala has been pictured swapping his gumtree for a bedframe after seeking refuge in an elderly couple’s home.
The furry bedfellow had been wandering on the grounds of Ron Snow, 76, and his wife Carol’s, 72, Lismore property in Lismore, in north-east NSW on Sunday when he came across the couple’s kelpie.
Fearing Millie might get too close for comfort to the six-month-old marsupial, Mr Snow herded the koala into the family home where he made a bee-line for the bedroom.
‘He was crossing from one tree to another right in front of my dad and the dog who has never been close to one,’ the couple’s daughter Mellissa wrote online.
