Anti-gay Marriage Campaigners Claim ONE MILLION ‘Yes’ Voters Have Changed Their Minds

Anti-gay marriage campaigners have claimed more than 1 million ‘yes’ voters have changed their mind.

Polling from the No campaign, obtained by Sky News, suggests support for same-sex marriage is declining across Australia.

During the No campaign’s first ten days, support among woman for changing the Marriage Act has dropped from 67 percent to 60 percent.

Support among men for the change has dropped from 54 percent to 49 percent, according to the poll.

Labor politician and same-sex marriage advocate Penny Wong said she was not surprised by the latest figures.

Australian Conservatives senator Cory Bernardi said he is still unsure which way the vote will go.

‘I do detect there’s a growing number of people that recognise that decision have consequences and it’s not as easy as two people who love each other should be able to get married,’ he said.
