He recently underwent chemotherapy and radiation after a shock brain cancer diagnosis.

And Johnny Ruffo looked to be on the road to recovery, while out with girlfriend Tahnee Sims and friends, in Sydney on Sunday.

The 29-year-old, dressed casually in a beige sweater and lightwash jeans, was smiling as he paid a visit to the war memorial in Hyde Park.

Road to recovery: Former Home And Away star Johnny Ruffo, 29, appeared in high spirits in Sydney on Sunday, after undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment for a shock brain cancer diagnosis

It appears that Johnny’s head scar is also healing after the actor underwent surgery to have his brain tumour removed.

Johnny sported a white T-shirt and a beige round-neck sweater for the outing.

Placing his hands in his pockets, he looked content as he strolled through Sydney’s Hyde Park with girlfriend Tahnee and a small group of friends.

At ease: Strolling through Hyde Park, the couple looked content in one another's company, beaming broadly

Tahnee, 23, made a poignant statement with a black T-shirt with the word ‘Fearless’ printed across the front.

The dancer teamed the top with a pair of faux-leather pants and black pointy-toed boots.

Tahnee allowed her locks to fall in soft waves and her makeup look consisted of a bronzed complexion, defined brows and lashings of mascara.

Looking good: Tahnee, a professional dancer, cut an edgy figure in a black T-shirt, faux-leather pants and pointy-toed boots

The lovebirds remained close during the outing, beaming broadly and content in each other’s company.

Johnny and Tahnee were joined by friends, the group paying their respects at a war memorial in Hyde Park.

The sighting follows Johnny’s round of chemotherapy and radiation treatment following his shock brain cancer diagnosis in August.

In good company: Johnny and Tahnee were joined by pals, who also sported casual attire

Johnny, who rose to fame on The X Factor Australia, revealed that he went to hospital with a migraine only to be rushed into surgery.

He said: ‘On Sunday I went into hospital with a migraine. I had to have emergency surgery to have a brain tumour removed.’

Late last month, Johnny took to Instagram, praising radiotherapy staff in his recovery.

Uploading a snap that saw him standing alongside medical professionals, he wrote: ‘These guys are the real stars, my amazing radiotherapy team.’
