Notorious Australian ‘Playboy Rapist’ is About to be RELEASED From Jail

A notorious criminal dubbed the ‘playboy rapist’ will be freed on parole despite a chilling warning from the husband of murder victim Jill Meagher.

The New South Wales Parole Authority on Tuesday ruled so-called Sydney ‘lothario’ Simon Monteiro, 51, may be released from prison in just weeks.

Simon Monteiro, dubbed the 'playboy rapist', will be released on parole despite a chilling warning from the husband of murder victim Jill Meagher

Monteiro was jailed over violent rape of his then-girlfriend in 2009 and was granted parole this week subject to ‘strict conditions’.

But victims have warned the parole board would have ‘blood on its hands’ and widower Tom Meagher said it would be an ‘egregious mistake’.

‘My wife was murdered in Melbourne by a parolee just like this unrepentant creep,’ Mr Meagher wrote on Change.org recently.

‘I spoke personally with the Adult Parole Board of Victoria at the time warning them of the egregious mistake of putting serial sex offenders like him back out to terrorise women.

Meagher's husband, Tom, said the 'entire justice system' was complicit in her death

‘The entire justice system was complicit in the circumstances that led to Jill’s death.

‘Let this man back out on the street and you will almost certainly see another headline like this one: (“Murder of Jill Meagher was ‘preventable’, Victorian coroner finds”).

‘Please have the decency and humility to learn from past mistakes.’

Mr Meagher was one of nearly 40,000 people who signed a petition urging the parole board not to release a ‘dangerous offender’ like Monteiro.

Monteiro has served more than nine years of a twelve year jail term.

The push to keep him behind bars has been spearheaded by Monteiro’s ex-girlfriend, Kay Schubach, who said she was ‘really shocked’ by the decision.

Ms Schubach claims Monteiro almost strangled her to death and does not believe he has reformed.

She said Monteiro was ‘exactly the same’ as Meagher’s killer Adrian Ernest Bayley – a repeat offender.

Ten alleged victims have come forward to Ms Schubach since he was jailed, she claimed.

'He's got red flags all over him,' said Kay Schubach (pictured)

‘He’s got red flags all over him.

‘What does it take for the parole board to see this person is a real danger to the community and is a real high risk serial offender?’

Ms Schubach said she was ‘so grateful’ Meagher – ‘an articulate and wonderful man’ – had lended his support to Monteiro’s victims. He was contacted for further comment.

A State Parole Authority spokeswoman said Monteiro’s parole conditions including electronic monitoring, drug and alcohol testing and psychological counselling.

He will be required to live at an approved address and not visit the areas where his crimes occurred, including Randwick City, Waverley and Woollahra.

He will also remain under ‘strict supervision’, the spokeswoman said, until his sentence expires in October 2020.

During his time in prison, Monteiro complained of a lack of access to an orthopaedic mattress, a soft bristled tooth-brush and a raw, plant-based food diet.
